A flowering desert after unusual summer rains. The delicate Añuñuca flower (of the amaryllis family) has a heavy head on a lithe little stem. One night the man had a dream of where the mine was located, so he went looking for it. But never returned — swallowed by the pampas. The girl died and the next day these flowers were blooming in the Chilean desert and were named after her.
